Real Harbour Capital was appointed by Canterbury City Council to provide strategic asset management services for the Morrisons supermarket in Herne Bay, Kent. The prominent Beach Street store is an important anchor within the town centre and provides a long-term, income-producing asset for the Council.

RHC’s initial focus is the forthcoming rent review and the potential to agree a mutually beneficial lease regear with Morrisons. The mandate reflects the firm’s practical, partnership-led approach to protecting income, enhancing long-term value and actively managing essential retail assets on behalf of public-sector and private-capital clients.
Stuart Mitchell, Joint Managing Director of Real Harbour Capital, commented:
“We are delighted to have been appointed by Canterbury City Council to asset manage the Morrisons supermarket in Herne Bay. Our immediate focus will be on the rent review and exploring opportunities for a lease regear, working collaboratively with both the Council and Morrisons to deliver a positive long-term outcome for the asset.”
The appointment further strengthens RHC’s growing third-party asset management platform and its focus on actively managing income-producing UK real estate.
